FCI Launches “The Talking Book Project in additional 2 counties”.

The Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI) through funding from Landesa has launched the Talking Book Project in 8 new communities in Margibi and Grand Cape Mount Counties.
The Talking Book Project is a key component of the Land Rights for Sustainable Development Project that has been implemented by FCI over the past years in Rivercess and Lofa Counties.
Since the passage of the Land Rights Act in 2018, FCI has worked with rural communities in creating awareness around the law and helping communities formalize their customary land.
The Talking Book is used to play pre-recorded messages in English and local dialects about the Land Rights Law.
800 talking books will be distributed among households in 8 communities in the 2 counties.
