Day One: Strengthening FCI’s Digital Capacity

The Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI) commenced a two-day staff training focused on strengthening the organization’s digital communication, website management, online visibility, and productivity tools.

The training, being held at the FCI Main Office Conference Room from August 17–18, 2026, brings together FCI staff for practical sessions designed to improve their capacity to effectively use and manage the organization’s digital platforms and information systems.

Day One: Strengthening FCI’s Digital Capacity

The first day of the training focused on website management and search engine optimization (SEO). Staff received orientation on the installation and basic configuration of an SEO plugin designed to improve the visibility of FCI’s website and support increased website traffic and how to upload information on FCI Website. The session highlighted the importance of maintaining an active, accessible, and well-optimized website as an important platform for sharing FCI’s work, achievements, publications, and other organizational information with stakeholders and the wider public.

The training also provided an opportunity for staff to strengthen their practical understanding of the digital tools being introduced and to identify areas where additional support may be required.

Building Staff Capacity for Improved Organizational Communication

The two-day training forms part of FCI’s efforts to strengthen its internal systems and staff capacity in the use of technology. By improving staff knowledge of official email systems, Microsoft 365, and website management, FCI aims to enhance internal communication, collaboration, information management, and the organization’s digital presence.

The training will continue on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, with further practical sessions aimed at reinforcing the knowledge and skills gained during the first day.
